The coat of arms and logo of a municipality, town or district may only be used with the permission of the municipality concerned.

The coats of arms and logos of the municipalities (cities, offices, municipalities, districts) are protected and may only be used by the authorities and institutions of the respective municipalities. However, the use of municipal coats of arms or logos is possible with permission.

There is no statutory processing deadline

- Requesting the use of a coat of arms/logo

- The use of a coat of arms/logo is only possible with the permission of the competent authority.

- An informal application is sufficient.

- For municipal coats of arms/logos, each municipality is responsible for its own coat of arms/logo. Regulations on use may already have been made in the statutes, in which case an informal application may not be necessary.

The administration of the municipality whose coat of arms you wish to use is responsible.
