If you wish to operate certain industrial or commercial facilities that require a permit, the authorities may stipulate in the permit that you have compliance with limit values for pollutant emissions checked regularly by means of individual measurements.
If you operate or wish to operate certain industrial or commercial facilities that require approval, the authorities may stipulate in the approval notice that you have compliance with limit values for pollutant emissions from the facility checked regularly by means of individual measurements as part of the approval procedure.
As a rule, you must carry out the measurements if you have newly installed, commissioned or significantly modified your installation.
Details on the type and scope of the measurements can be found in the approval notice for your installation.
You must have the ordered measurements carried out by an accredited measuring institute or an expert.
You must then summarize the results of the measurements in a measurement report and send this to the immission control authority responsible for you.
