Persons who regularly stun or kill vertebrates for the purpose of killing on a professional or commercial basis must provide the competent authority with a certificate of competence.

Persons who regularly stun or kill vertebrate animals for the purpose of killing on a professional or commercial basis must provide the competent authority with a certificate of competence.
This also applies to the slaughter of animals.
Anyone who can demonstrate the knowledge and skills required for the relevant activity is deemed to be competent.
The certificate of competence can be applied for from the competent authority and covers the category of animal or the method of killing for which the relevant evidence has been submitted. Vocational training, studies or other qualifications related to the respective activity can be recognized as proof of expertise (e.g. vocational training as a butcher, animal farmer, studies in biology with a focus on zoology).

• training certificates,
• training certificates,
• certificate of further training,
• identity card.

• Anyone wishing to slaughter solipeds, ruminants, pigs, rabbits or poultry as part of their professional activity or to tranquilize or stun them in connection with this requires a valid certificate of competence from the competent authority. The certificate of competence is issued on application if the competence is proven in accordance with the Animal Welfare Slaughter Ordinance.
