The commercial setting off of various fireworks must be reported all year round by the holder of the permit or license to the competent authority.
The burning of
- fireworks of category F3
- large fireworks of category F4 or
- stage and theater fireworks of category T1 or T2 or
- other fireworks of category P1 or P2
must be notified to the competent authority throughout the year by the holder of the permit or license. The deadline for notification is two weeks before the fireworks are set off. In the case of fireworks in the immediate vicinity of railroad installations, airports or federal waterways that are shipping lanes, notification must be given four weeks in advance.
You require
- a valid permit in accordance with § 7 (commercial) or § 27 (non-commercial) of the Explosives Act or
- a valid certificate of competence in accordance with § 20 of the Explosives Act or
- an exemption permit in accordance with Section 24 (1) of the Explosives Act.
The following information must be provided in the notification or the following documents must be attached:
- Personal details of those responsible
- Location, type and size as well as start and end of the fireworks display
- Distances to particularly fire-sensitive buildings and facilities
- the safety measures, in particular barriers and other precautions to protect the neighborhood and the general public.
No churches, hospitals, retirement and nursing homes, thatched buildings or half-timbered houses may be located in the immediate vicinity of the fireworks.
Fee range: EUR 30.00 to EUR 150.00
The notification must be made at least two weeks before the fireworks are set off.
For a justified reason, private individuals, i.e. persons without a permit or license, can also apply to set off small fireworks (category F2).
- Burning of Fireworks of category F3, large fireworks of category F4 or of stage and theater fireworks of category T1 must be notified all year round by the permit or license holder.
- There is a deadline of two weeks before the fireworks are set off.
- A period of four weeks applies to fireworks in the immediate vicinity of railroad installations, airports or federal waterways that are shipping lanes.
- The notification must be made in writing or electronically.
