Under certain conditions, families can apply for subsidized family recreation measures from independent youth welfare organizations.
Families and single parents with a low income can experience a family vacation together.
The state supports family recreation measures offered by independent youth welfare organizations, non-profit family holiday centers and youth hostels in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (hereinafter referred to as "measure providers") if they meet the common needs for recreation, activities and education.
The offers are intended to enable families to spend time together, to get together as a family, but also with other families, and to relieve parents by providing qualified child and youth care.
The recreational offers include overnight accommodation with full board as well as programs for joint leisure activities for and with participating families.
Families register with the providers of the recreational activities.
Applicants to the state and recipients of the grant are the organizers of the measures, who should have their registered office and/or sphere of activity in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The grant is staggered according to the number of overnight stays and amounts to a flat rate of 30 euros to 15 euros per person per overnight stay.
