When vineyards are grubbed up, replanting rights are automatically created. Either the same areas can be replanted with vines, in which case no application needs to be made. However, if other areas within the farm are to be replanted, this must be approved. In this case, an application must be submitted to the Thuringian State Office for Agriculture and Rural Areas (TLLLR) must be submitted.

• If the cleared area and the area to be replanted are the same, no separate application needs to be submitted.
• If an area is to be exchanged, the application must be completed.

• Vineyards must have been grubbed up.
• The grubbing-up must have been reported to the vineyard register. (Notification of changes to the vineyard register)
• If planting is to take place on other areas on the farm, an application for replanting can also be submitted four years before grubbing up.

There are no fees.

If the area to be replanted is the same as the cleared area, it is sufficient to submit the change notification to the vineyard register in good time. This is deemed to be an application for approval. Approval for replanting is deemed to have been granted on the day on which the area was grubbed up.

If an area is to be exchanged, the "Application for transfer of replanting to other farm-owned areas" must be completed and submitted to the TLLLR. After processing, you will receive a notice of approval.
