Under certain conditions, if you were enrolled at a university or (vocational) college in Germany on 01.12.2022, you can receive a one-off flat-rate energy allowance. You must apply for this.

Eligibility depends on the type of training institution they attend and the type of qualification they are aiming for. Trainees at a vocational college or technical college who are completing a vocational qualification lasting at least two years receive the one-off payment. - Alternatively, set up a BundID account as a basic registration with username/password.
- You will receive an access code and, if necessary, a PIN from your training institution.
- You register on the website with your BundID account.
- You enter the access code (and PIN, if applicable) provided by your training institution into the application form.
- You provide the other required information, in particular the IBAN of your account, a joint account or a third-party account.
- Once you have sent your application, it will be transmitted to the relevant office in the country and checked (fully) automatically in the relevant country-specific procedure.
