Certificates of identity are required by property owners, holders of rights, persons affected by rights, authorities or courts if land register entries, deeds and so on refer to parcels of land that no longer exist.
Certificates of identity are required, for example, by landowners, holders of rights, persons affected by rights, authorities or courts if land register entries, deeds or other documents refer to parcels of land that are no longer recorded in the current inventory. This means that legal relationships can no longer be assigned to the current parcel situation.
A certificate of identity is used to prove which existing parcels are identical to a previously existing parcel or which parts of existing parcels correspond spatially to the lost parcel.
Any person may obtain information from the official surveying databases. In individual cases (where personal data is concerned), it is necessary for applicants to demonstrate their legitimate interest.
Fees are charged for the certificate in accordance with point 12.1.2 of the Thuringian administrative cost regulations for official surveying, but at least €25.00.
