You are the holder of a permit / certificate of competence in accordance with the SprengG. If you intend to set off fireworks with pyrotechnic objects, this must be reported to the competent authority.

You must notify us before setting off pyrotechnic articles. You can make use of this service if the intended pyrotechnic articles are of category F2, F3, F4, P1, P2, T1 or T2. The burning of pyrotechnic articles in the immediate vicinity of churches, hospitals, children's and old people's homes and particularly fire-sensitive buildings or facilities is prohibited. The local conditions must be taken into account when setting off pyrotechnic articles.

Proof of the certificate of competence and/or proof of the permit

You must have a certificate of competence and/or a permit from an authority in order to be allowed to display pyrotechnic articles.

The service is free of charge.

Note: For incompletely submitted documents, the time required for repeated requests for additional documents may result in costs for the notifying party.

To file a complaint, you must state the facts of the case in writing. Please use the following form for this purpose.

• Please enclose all necessary documents with the notification.
• This also includes a site plan for the burning area with details of the safety distances.
• The documents you submit will be checked for completeness and conclusiveness.
• If necessary, additional documents will be requested.
• No feedback will be given after a successful check.

The notification period pursuant to Section 23 (3) of the First Ordinance to the Explosives Act (1. SprengV) must be observed.

• Category F2 in the period from 02.01. to 30.12.
• Categories F3, F4, P1, P2, T1 and T2 all year round

Notification period of 4 weeks before setting off pyrotechnic articles in the immediate vicinity of railroad installations, airports or federal waterways that are shipping lanes.

Does not apply to persons without a permit/license of competence.
