Have you applied for a grant for fertility treatment and received the corresponding grant notification? Have you also already had the fertility treatment carried out? Then you can now apply for payment of the grant.

If you have applied for the grant for fertility treatment and have received a corresponding grant notification, you can have the fertility treatment carried out within six months.

After you have had fertility treatment, you can apply for payment of the grant for fertility treatment.

• Copies of invoices from the reproduction facility and, if applicable, other service providers for the treatment costs
• Proof of benefits relating to the treatment costs from the health insurance company, the subsidy office or other cost bearers

The subsidy for fertility treatment can only be paid out if:

• You have applied for the subsidy before the start of treatment,
• you received the provisional grant notification before the start of treatment,
• you have had the fertility treatment carried out within six months of receiving the provisional grant notification,
• the fertility treatment was carried out in accordance with the treatment plan that you submitted when you applied for the grant.

There are no costs.

You submit the application for a grant for fertility treatment together with the required documents (copies).

If you meet the requirements, you will receive a final grant notification.

Once you have received the provisional grant notification, you will be paid the grant for fertility treatment.

You can apply for payment of the grant for fertility treatment online or by post. If you meet all the requirements, you will receive a final grant notification.

The amount to be paid out will be transferred to the account you specified in your application one month after the final grant notification has been issued.

The measure is funded proportionately by the federal government and the respective state. The federal government only supports heterosexual married and unmarried couples.

The regulations of the individual federal states may differ from this. If there are not enough federal funds available, you will only receive the share of the state to which you have applied for the subsidy.
