If you want to dispose of your old car, you will need a certificate of destruction from the disposal site.
If you want to have your end-of-life vehicle finally taken off the road, you must hand it over to a recognized collection point, a recognized take-back point or a recognized dismantling company for disposal.
There you will receive a certificate of destruction, which you present together with the vehicle registration document to the vehicle registration office for deregistration.
To deregister end-of-life vehicles, a certificate of destruction must be submitted to the vehicle registration office by the disposal office.

You can obtain addresses of disposal companies in your area (recognized dismantling companies and shredder facilities, acceptance and collection points) from the motor vehicle guild, automobile clubs and your district or city administration, for example, as well as on the website of the Joint Agency for End-of-Life Vehicles (GESA). You can also ask your specialist garage if they offer this service.
