If young people become delinquent, the youth court assistance of the youth welfare office can be called upon.
If young people between the ages of 14 and 18 or young adults up to the age of 21 come into conflict with the law, they and their parents can turn to the youth court assistance service.
Youth court assistance is one of the statutory duties of the youth welfare office. It is involved in the entire juvenile court proceedings. It accompanies the young offenders, but also supports the juvenile courts and the juvenile prosecutor's office with reports, opinions and decision-making aids. The personal life situation of the young person is at the forefront of all considerations.

In the event of conflicts with the law among adolescents and young adults, youth court assistance can be involved. Its main tasks are to inform and advise young people, report to the public prosecutor's office and juvenile courts as well as to arrange and assist with further youth welfare measures.
