Parkausweis - Bewohnerparkausweis beantragen

If you wish to obtain a resident parking permit, you must apply for one from the relevant authority.

If your main or secondary residence is registered in a resident parking area, you can apply for a resident parking permit for your car or motorcycle.

• Registration certificate I (old: vehicle registration certificate)
• Certificate of use if the applicant is not the vehicle owner
• If applying through a representative, a power of attorney is required
• Return of the previous resident parking permit upon renewal

Further documents may be required.

• You are registered in the residents' parking area and you actually live there
• there is no private parking space available
• the vehicle is registered to you or you use the vehicle permanently
• Owners of a vehicle with foreign or foreign license plates are obliged under § 46 FZV to register their vehicle at their main place of residence

It is best to go to the relevant office in person and present the documents there.

In some cities and municipalities, you can also apply for a resident parking permit in writing or electronically. In these cases, you will receive the parking permit by post. Ask your city or municipal administration which documents you need to send in this case.

• The resident parking permit is limited in time.
• The resident parking permit does not guarantee a fixed parking space.
• The parking permit can be valid either only at certain times or around the clock.

• As a resident, you can apply for a resident parking permit for your car or motorcycle or a vehicle you use permanently. The resident parking permit is only valid for a specially designated zone (resident parking area).
