State waste laws and municipal statutes
If you wish to report litter or illegally disposed garbage, you can contact the responsible authority and they will initiate the disposal.
Litter is defined as waste that is illegally deposited in the open countryside, in forests or along streams as well as in public places or along roads outside the designated waste containers.
This can include, for example, household and bulky waste, building rubble, construction site waste, car wrecks, but also excess excavated soil (loose and solid rock excavated or removed during construction work). It is also "wild waste" if the waste has been covered with soil.
The dumping of "wild waste" is prohibited and constitutes an administrative offense. It can be punished with a fine.
If the person responsible for the "wild waste" can be identified, they will be charged for the disposal costs incurred.
- Description of the location
- Description of the contamination
- If applicable, photos of the location
Please report "wild garbage" to the lower waste authority in your place of residence. They will take care of the disposal.
As the owner of the property, you must generally also take care of the disposal of waste that has been deposited on your property against your will.
Otherwise, the public waste disposal authorities are responsible for the disposal of "wild waste".
