Anyone wishing to hire out pleasure craft or personal watercraft for non-commercial use requires a boat certificate for each vessel.
If you rent out pleasure craft or personal watercraft for non-commercial use, you will need a boat certificate for each vessel.
The boat certificate is issued at the request of the operator. The boat certificate can be issued subject to conditions and can be linked to requirements.
The issue of the boat certificate must be revoked if
- the watercraft loses its status as a recreational craft within the meaning of this ordinance or essential equipment is inoperable or no longer present, or
- the recreational craft is rented out with the provision of a skipper or crew or for the purpose of commercial use.
The boat certificate is valid for a period of two years, or three years in the case of newly built boats. A subsequent extension of two years is possible after prior examination.
- For the non-commercial rental of pleasure craft or personal watercraft, a boat certificate is required for each vessel.
- The boat certificate is issued upon application by the operator. The boat certificate may be issued subject to conditions and may be linked to requirements.
