The target groups for measures and projects funded under these guidelines are primarily ethnic German repatriates and their family members as well as foreign nationals with a permanent or long-term right of residence (immigrants).
The aim of the funding is to improve the framework conditions for the equal participation of people with a migration background in economic, social, political and cultural life in order to enable them to take responsibility for their own lives. In particular, measures and projects for
- Improving language and professional qualifications
- Increasing the success of integration courses in accordance with § 43 of the Residence Act and § 9 of the Federal Expellee Act
- Linking and improving the existing advisory services for immigrants and
- Coordination of advisors
- Improving the integration of immigrants into the local community
- Improving the equal participation of immigrants in the healthcare system
- Networking and advising institutions and organizations involved in integration issues and coordinating existing integration activities across the country
Funding for measures and projects for foreign nationals without a permanent residence permit can be considered in particular in the areas of "health care" and "promotion of voluntary departure".
Funding for the measure must be applied for in writing to the Thuringian State Administration Office, Department 210, by October 31 of the previous year.
