Tierärztin/ Tierarzt: vorübergehende Ausübung des Berufs ohne Approbation - Erlaubnis

If you have completed training as a veterinarian from a non-EU Member State, but do not want to practise medicine, and only want to practise the veterinary profession temporarily, you need a permit.
Permission entitles you to use the job title

• Veterinarian

to lead.
The permit may be limited to certain activities and employment positions. It may only be granted or extended revocably and only up to a total duration of veterinary activity of no more than four years. A further granting or extension of the permit is possible in accordance with the requirements of the Federal Veterinary Regulations (BTÄO).

• Written declarationaccording to which no judicial criminal proceedings or public prosecutor's preliminary proceedings are/have been pending at present/within the last 6 months
• Written declaration according to which you have only applied to the Landesuntersuchungsamt Rheinland-Pfalz for permission to temporarily practising the veterinary profession
• a tabular list of the training courses completed and the gainful employment (current curriculum vitae)
• valid proof of identity (passport or identity card)
• Birth certificate / parentage certificate or excerpt from the family book of the parents if necessary. Marriage certificate.
• If the name used differs from the birth certificate, the presentation of the corresponding proof e.B marriage certificate showing the name or the official certificate of a name change must be presented.
• Proof of impunity by presentation of an official certificate of good conduct Document type "O". This must be applied for at the registration office of your place of residence.
  The certificate of good conduct must not be older than one month when the application is submitted.
  If the official certificate of good conduct cannot be presented, a certificate of impunity from the Member State of origin (extract from the criminal record or, if one is not issued, a certificate of an affidavit) may be submitted in its place. The foreign proof of impunity must not be older than 3 months upon presentation.
• Medical certificate issued by a doctor from an EU Member State according to which there is no indication that the applicant is unsuitable for practicing the veterinary profession in terms of health, The medical certificate must not be older than one month when the application is received.
• Employment contract / confirmation of employment with a veterinarian established in Rhineland-Palatinate.

The granting of the provisional professional license of the veterinary profession is subject to a fee.

The fees are determined in accordance with the applicable state ordinance on fees in connection with the Special List of Fees (framework rate: 100.00 euros to 200.00 euros).

The application must be submitted before the veterinary intervention.

Veterinary action before the professional licence is issued may lead to criminal consequences.
The regulations of the Medicines Act must also be observed.
