Will your child only turn six years old after 31.08. in the year in which the school-age children start school and you would like to start school early? Then you can apply for this at the responsible primary school.

If your child does not turn six years old until after 31.08. in the year the school-age children start school and if you can imagine early school enrolment due to your child's level of development, then you can apply for this at the responsible primary school.

Tip: The pedagogical specialists of the day care centre and the school management of the primary school can advise you on the appropriate time your child starts school.

• Your child is not yet required to attend school.
• Your child's level of development suggests that they can successfully attend grade one classes.

There are no fees.

Register your child at primary school in the second half of February of the year in which you wish to start school and apply to the school administration for early enrolment.

• Your child, like all other children, takes part in the school medical examination. In addition, the current stage of development of your child is determined.
• The school management invites you to a conversation with your child to gain information for school admission.
• The decision as to whether your child can actually be enrolled in school prematurely is finally made by the school management in consultation with the school doctor, taking into account all the necessary information.
• Your child will be required to attend school upon admission.

Registration must be made in the second half of February of the year in which the child is to be admitted to school.
