Upon application, permission to use the designation "Landwirtschaftliche Buchstelle" can be granted in addition to the professional title of tax advisor.

The term "Landwirtschaftliche Buchstelle" is a legally protected designation. It is awarded to persons who have demonstrated special expertise in providing tax advice for agriculture and forestry. The title can be awarded to tax consultants, tax agents, lawyers and established European lawyers.

The title is awarded by the Chamber of Tax Consultants in whose district the applicant has their professional establishment. In Rhineland-Palatinate, this is the Rhineland-Palatinate Chamber of Tax Consultants.

The required special expertise must be demonstrated by passing an oral examination before an expert committee. Successful completion of the examination requires several years of professional experience in this field. Theoretical and practical knowledge of tax and business management is required.

Persons who can prove their expertise through relevant training and who have provided tax advice to accounting agricultural and forestry businesses for at least 3 years can be exempted from the oral examination on application.

The fee in Rhineland-Palatinate is EUR 200.00 plus EUR 250.00 for participation in the expert discussion.

The application for the award of the authorization to use the designation "Landwirtschaftliche Buchstelle" must be submitted to the Rhineland-Palatinate Chamber of Tax Consultants.

The application must state whether the special expertise is to be demonstrated by an oral examination before the Expertise Committee or whether the applicant wishes to be exempted from this examination.

The license to use the additional title "Landwirtschaftliche Buchstelle" must be entered in the professional register at the responsible Chamber of Tax Consultants.

Upon application, tax consultants may be granted the right to use the designation "Landwirtschaftliche Buchstelle" by the competent Chamber of Tax Consultants.
