Have you completed a law degree in an EU member state and now want to complete your legal training in Germany? Then you must first have an equivalence assessment carried out for your university degree.

Successful completion of the equivalence test establishes the equivalence of your university degree with the compulsory state examination for the first legal examination. This enables you to be admitted to the legal training service.
With the successful equivalence examination, the equivalence of your university degree with the state compulsory subject examination of the first legal examination is determined. This will allow you to be admitted to the legal preparatory service.
