Have you completed a law degree in a member state of the EU and now want to complete your legal preparatory service in Germany? Then you must first have an equivalence check of your university degree carried out.

Successful completion of the equivalence test establishes the equivalence of your university degree with the compulsory state examination for the first legal examination. This enables you to be admitted to the legal training service.

With the successful equivalence examination, the equivalence of your university degree with the state compulsory subject examination of the first legal examination is determined. This will allow you to be admitted to the legal preparatory service.
