§ 15 paragraphs 1 - 3 and 5 Federal Hunting Act (BJagdG)

If the validity of your falconer's hunting licence expires or has already expired and you wish to continue hunting, you must have it extended.

If you want to practice pickling in Germany, you need a German falconry hunting license in your name. If you are already in possession of a German annual hunting license, but its validity has expired, you can apply for an extension.

You can submit the application in writing or, if available, online.

If you submit the application in writing, fill it in and submit it by post or in person to the competent authority.

The application and the evidence to be provided will be checked for completeness and correctness.

If you meet all the requirements, you will be issued a falconry license.

The annual hunting licence shall be valid for a maximum of three consecutive hunting years. The hunting year starts on 01.04. and ends on 31.03.
