If you have passed the final examination, you can apply for a duplicate or translation of the examination certificate. You can also request a list of your vocational school achievements on the examination certificate.

If you are a trainee completing dual training in a recognized training occupation, you will take a final examination at the end. After passing the examination, you will receive an examination certificate. If a two-part extended final examination takes place, you will also be informed of the result of the examination performance from the first part of the extended final examination.

As a trainee, you can apply for a duplicate of the examination certificate. You can also request an English and/or French translation. If you would like the result of your vocational school performance to be listed on the certificate, you must submit an application to the relevant office.

For duplicate:

• Request for a duplicate
• For translations: Application for English and/or French translation

For a list of vocational school achievements:

• Application for a list of vocational school achievements
• Proof of vocational school achievements

You must pass the final examination of your apprenticeship.

Costs may be incurred for the translation or duplicate of examination certificates. Please contact the relevant office for more information.

If you wish to apply for a duplicate of the examination certificate:

If you want to apply for an English or French translation:

• Contact the office responsible for your training to find out how to apply for a translation
• Submit an application for a translation

If you want to have your vocational school achievements listed on your certificate:

• Find out about the application procedure from the office responsible for your training
• Submit the application for a list of vocational school achievements
• Attach a copy of the proof of these achievements to the application

The competent authority may set deadlines for applying for translations or the listing of achievements in the examination certificate. Please contact the relevant office for more information.

There is no right of appeal. It is not based on a decision by an authority, but the certificate is issued for each examination passed.

Contact the chamber responsible for your vocational training. This can be

• the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for vocational training in non-trade occupations,
• the Chamber of Skilled Crafts for vocational training in professions under the Crafts Code,
• the Chamber of Agriculture for vocational training in agricultural and rural domestic professions
• the Chamber of Lawyers, Patent Attorneys and Notaries as well as the Notary's Office for the vocational training of specialists in the field of law,
• the Chamber of Auditors and the Chamber of Tax Consultants for the vocational training of professionals in the field of auditing and tax consultancy,
• the Chambers of Physicians, Dentists, Veterinarians and Pharmacists for the vocational training of healthcare professionals.

There are other competent bodies,for example for bodies in the area of public law and the churches.
