Would you like to collect monetary or in-kind donations? Then you need permission for this.

In Rhineland-Palatinate, collections require permission if they are collected by direct action from person to person (e.g. in the case of door-to-door or street collections).

The German Central Institute for Social Issues (DZI) provides information and evaluations of organizations that collect donations. According to its own information, the DZI documents around 1,000 donation organizations in the social, especially humanitarian and charitable sector in its charity archive. The DZI answers inquiries from private individuals, companies, authorities and the media against reimbursement of costs.
