You can also be admitted to the journeyman's examination if you have worked in the occupation in which you wish to take the examination for at least one and a half times the prescribed training period.

Training periods in another relevant training occupation also count as periods of professional activity. Proof of the minimum period may be waived in whole or in part. To this end, you must provide certificates or other evidence that you have acquired the required professional competence.

Foreign educational qualifications and periods of employment abroad will be taken into account.

• Completed authorization form
• Proof of type and duration of employment
• Professional or training certificates
• If applicable, other evidence of the acquisition of professional competence

Fees are charged for the external examination.
