If you want to train driving instructors in a driving instructor training centre, you need official recognition.

If you want to train or have trained persons who want to become driving instructors (driving instructor candidates) in a driving instructor training centre, you need the official recognition of your company.

Recognition shall be granted on application for training leading to the driving licence of individual or all categories.

Preconditions:

• There are no facts which would make the owner or the manager responsible for the management of a driving instructor training centre appear unreliable.
• The driving instructor training centre shall have a responsible instructor who is able to supervise the lessons competently and who guarantees that the necessary knowledge and skills are taught.
• The driving instructor training centre has at its disposal a sufficient number of teachers who are able to impart the necessary knowledge and skills to trainee driving instructors in their field of responsibility:
• The driving instructor training centre has the necessary classroom and the necessary teaching materials and training vehicles at its disposal.
• An appropriate training plan shall be submitted.

Subsequent changes to the training plan shall require the approval of the licensing authority.

• application with the name and address of the driving instructor training centre,
• documents proving the suitability of the responsible manager,
• a statement of other professional obligations to be fulfilled by the designated responsible manager,
• list of teachers and documents proving the suitability of teachers,
• a scale plan of the classrooms with information on their equipment,
• a declaration that the prescribed teaching materials are available,
• a list of the number and type of training vehicles,
• Training plan and
• Certificate of good conduct for submission to the licensing authority (document type 0) for the applicant and the intended responsible manager.

The application of a legal entity must also be accompanied by a certified extract from the commercial register or register of associations or documents on the power of representation of the persons acting on its behalf must be attached to the application of an association without legal capacity.

In addition, there may be expenses for the initial acceptance of the driving instructor training centre by an expert(s).

There are no deadlines to be observed.

The holder of the officially recognised driving instructor training centre must immediately notify the licensing authority:

• the opening, transfer, closure or closure of the driving instructor training centre;
• the appointment and dismissal of a responsible head of the driving instructor training centre,
• changes in teaching staff; the notification of recruitment of a teacher must be accompanied by documents proving suitability;
• the relocation, extension or reduction of classrooms.
