If personal data relating to an existing general swearing-in as an interpreter or authorization as a translator changes, this must be communicated to the Hanover Regional Court.
The general swearing-in of court interpreters, interpreters, sign language interpreters for official and notarial purposes and the authorization of translators for language transmission for judicial, official and notarial purposes for the territory of the State of Lower Saxony is carried out upon application to the Regional Court of Hanover.
If you are already sworn or authorized and your personal data subsequently changes, the changes must be reported to the Regional Court of Hanover. In particular, changes of name, address, contact and availability details or information on professional qualifications must be communicated.
You cannot notify other languages as a change. For this purpose, a new application for general swearing-in as an interpreter and/or authorization as a translator must be submitted to the Regional Court of Hanover for a fee.
Changes to professional qualifications must be documented by suitable evidence, e.g. certificates, attestations.
The Regional Court of Hanover processes notified changes and enters them in the list of generally sworn interpreters and authorized translators if entry in the list was approved with the application for swearing-in or authorization.
In principle, there are no deadlines for submitting applications. Changes to personal data should be communicated immediately.
Please remember that orders from courts, authorities and notary's offices can only be issued to you if your personal data is up to date and you can be contacted.
No legal remedy, as only details for an existing swearing-in as an interpreter and/or translator are changed.
