Guardians and caregivers can get help from the Youth Welfare Office.

The youth welfare office can provide advice on parenting and care issues and legal problems.

If necessary, the Youth Welfare Office can point out suitable assistance.

A specific form of counseling or the scope of counseling is not regulated by law.

The Youth Welfare Office can only represent the child in court proceedings if a separate guardianship has been applied for. A guardianship can be applied for to establish paternity and for maintenance matters.

If the person and the specific individual case are not yet known to the youth welfare office, proof of the appointment and proof of identity (e.g. identity card) is useful.
