If the person responsible for radiation protection changes, you must inform the competent authority.

Do you intend to appoint, change or deregister the person authorised to represent the person who performs the duties of the radiation protection officer?

In this case, you must send a notification to the competent authority.

The application can be submitted online or in paper form.

The costs depend on whether permits need to be changed or, for example, only an informal confirmation needs to be sent.

• You send the notification of the radiation protection officer in your company, including all information and evidence, to the competent authority.
• They will register and process your notification together with the evidence received.
• If information or evidence is missing, the authority will contact you with an inquiry.
• If all the information and evidence is complete, the authority will decide on your application and send you a corresponding decision.

• The person responsible for radiation protection is a person who:
  • requires a permit pursuant to § 10, § 12 (1), § 25 or § 27, a permit pursuant to §§ 4, 6, 7 or 9 of the Atomic Energy Act, planning approval pursuant to § 9b of the Atomic Energy Act or approval pursuant to § 9b (1a) of the Atomic Energy Act,
  • carries out an activity in accordance with § 5 of the Atomic Energy Act,
  • has to file a report in accordance with §§ 17, 19, 22, 26, 50, 52, 56 or 59, or
  • on the basis of § 12 subsection 4 does not require a permit pursuant to § 12 subsection 1 number 3.
• If the person responsible for radiation protection is a legal entity or a partnership with legal capacity, the duties of the radiation protection officer are performed by the person authorised to represent them by law, articles of association or articles of association.
• If the body authorised to represent consists of several members or if there are several persons authorised to represent other associations, the competent authority must be informed which of these persons performs the duties of the person responsible for radiation protection.
• The authority must be notified of the appointment, change or deregistration of the person performing the duties of the radiation protection officer
