If you have a

• plant for storing silage leachate with a volume of more than 25 cubic meters,
• other JGS plant with a total volume of more than 500 cubic metres, or

If you want to build, decommission or substantially modify a facility for the storage of solid manure or silage with a volume of more than 1,000 cubic metres, you must notify the competent authority.

With the required documents, you prove that your plant complies with the requirements of the Ordinance on Installations for the Handling of Water-Hazardous Substances (AwSV).

• You fill out the forms required for the notification and send them to the lower water authority by post or e-mail or you use the online service for the application.
• In any case, the authority will check your documents for completeness and, if necessary, request missing information or documents.
• In addition, the content requirements are reviewed, which may also lead to additional claims.
• If there are no objections, your application data will be entered into the authority's specialist procedure.

• Notification of the construction, substantial modification or decommissioning of a slurry, slurry and silage leachate plant Receipt
• If a plant for the storage of silage leachate is to be
  • with a volume of more than 25 cubic meters,
  • another JGS plant with a total volume of more than 500 cubic metres, or
  • If a facility for the storage of solid manure or silage with a volume of more than 1,000 cubic metres is constructed, decommissioned or substantially modified, the operator must notify the competent authority of this at least six weeks in advance in writing or online.
• This does not apply to the construction of installations,
  • which require authorisation in individual cases under other legal provisions, or
  • provided that the authorisation also ensures compliance with the requirements of this Regulation.
