Specific reasons for commissioning a boundary determination can be

Kosten

The costs for determining the boundary are based on the cost regulations for official surveying(KOVerm).

The costs depend on

  • on the number of boundary points determined and marked in the locality,
  • the land value (market value) at the time of completion of the service and
  • on expenses such as boundary stones, kilometers driven, travel expenses of employees.

Verfahrensablauf

After you have placed your order for the boundary determination, you and all parties involved (e.g. the border neighbours concerned) will be informed in writing of the start of the local surveying work.

The existing parcel boundaries and their boundary points will be transferred to the locality to the extent necessary.
In the process, missing boundary markers are replaced or defects in the marking are eliminated. Previously unmarketed boundary points can be permanently marked with boundary markers (demarcation).

A boundary meeting takes place at which the parties involved have the opportunity to comment on the determined boundaries and, if necessary, the markings.

The boundary determination and the demarcation shall be notified to the parties involved and documented in writing in an official boundary document.

Once it has become final, you have legal certainty vis-à-vis your border neighbours about the course of the common parcel boundary. Their ownership rights to the land are secured. The boundary points are marked or, if desired, permanently signalled by boundary markers.

Due to summons and appeal deadlines, it is usually two to three months.

At least one week before the local survey, the persons involved must be summoned.

After the announcement of the results of the survey and the entry of the results in the real estate cadastre, the persons involved have an appeal period of one month.
