Granting of a permit for the acquisition and possession of weapons and ammunition for weapons or ammunition experts
A need to acquire and possess firearms or ammunition is recognized for persons who can credibly demonstrate that they require firearms or ammunition for scientific or technical purposes, for testing, assessment, examination or for a similar purpose (weapons and ammunition experts).
The permit to acquire firearms or ammunition is generally granted for firearms or ammunition of any type and for an unlimited period of time. It can be linked to the requirement to submit a list of firearms to the authorities at certain intervals. Section 10 (1a) shall not apply to the holder of a firearms possession card for firearms of any type in the event of the acquisition of a firearm if possession is not exercised for more than three months.
The applicant must have reached the age of 18, have the required reliability and personal suitability, the required expertise and a need.
