If you wish to be recognized as a test expert or test expert for safety-related building equipment in the field of fire protection by the State Chamber of Engineers, you can apply for this in writing, providing proof of the necessary requirements.

The Brandenburg Chamber of Engineers decides on the application for recognition as an inspection expert in the state of Brandenburg as the recognition authority. It checks the personal and professional requirements of the applicant on the basis of the documents submitted in accordance with § 5 BbgPrüfSV.

The application for recognition must include the specialist areas and disciplines for which recognition is requested. In addition, evidence of previous recognition procedures in these subject areas or disciplines, including in another country, which the applicant has already undergone without success, must be provided where applicable.

The following documents must be submitted with the completed written application:

• Curriculum vitae with full details of your professional career up to the date of application
• a copy of each of the diploma and employment certificates
• proof of the application for a certificate of good conduct for submission to an authority (document type O or P) or an equivalent document from a member state of the European Union, whereby the certificate or document should not be older than three months
• Details of the registered office and any other branches
• Information on any participation in a company whose purpose is the planning or execution of construction projects
• Proof of fulfillment of the special requirements for recognition in accordance with Section 5 (4) BbgPrüfSV in the respective specialist areas or disciplines

• Professionally qualifying university degree in architecture, structural engineering, civil engineering or similar.
• Proof of at least 2 years' experience as an engineer in the field of safety-related building equipment, specializing in fire protection
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
• Proof of professional liability insurance (not older than 3 months, minimum coverage number §10 BgbIngG)

Examination of the formal requirements for recognition as an inspection expert: EUR 500

Recognition is granted upon written application.

• Fill in the form and add the necessary supporting documents.
• Submit the application to the Brandenburg Chamber of Engineers.
• The application will be processed by the registration committee (which may provide explanations or requests for additional documents).
• You will then receive a notification from the registration committee by post.
