Please do not touch explosive ordnance or found ammunition. There is a danger to life. Report the find immediately to the police (emergency call 110) or the local regulatory authority and follow the instructions.
If you have found explosive ordnance, inform the police immediately by calling 110 or the local regulatory authority. This applies regardless of whether you find them on your own property or in other places, such as forests. Explosive ordnance is often no longer recognizable as such. They may be rusted or encrusted with earth.
Caution!
- Do not touch found ammunition!
- Even the slightest change in position, impact or pressure can trigger a life-threatening explosion.
If you fail to report it, you are committing an administrative offense which can be punished with a fine.
If you find explosive ordnance or objects that you suspect may be explosive ordnance, please adhere to the following safety instructions:
- Do not touch the explosive ordnance/objects and leave them where you found them.
- Mark and secure the site visibly.
- Warn others and point out the dangers.
- Inform the police immediately by calling 110 or the local regulatory authority. Avoid vibrations.
- If you have accidentally picked up explosive ordnance, put it down carefully, do not throw it.
- Always follow the instructions of the responsible authority.
