• Weapons possession card (WBK) or hunting license with acquisition authorization (preliminary entry)
• European firearms pass (if entry is desired)

• When acquiring a weapon: acquisition authorization (weapons ownership card [with previous entry, if applicable] or hunting license).
• When transferring a weapon: Acquisition authorization of the recipient

You must the acquisition of a weapon requiring a permit to the responsible weapons authority. Submit the application together with the required documents.

The acquisition or transfer, as well as the processing by reconstruction or replacement of a significant part must be reported within two weeks to the competent district administrative authority.

To help you complete the application more quickly, you can use NWR Identification Numbers (NWR ID):

• Your PersonalNWR-ID (P- or F-NWR-ID) for the information about your person
• the permitNWR-ID for the weapons permit (E-NWR-ID)
• the weapons or parts of weapons NWR-ID (W- or T-NWR-ID).

You can obtain the NWR IDs on application to the relevant weapons authority.
