Gemeindestraßen, Wege und Plätze; Widmung

When a road is newly built, it is always a private road in the legal sense. This applies regardless of the developer or the size of the road. Dedication allows anyone to use the road and assigns the road to a road class.

The dedication of municipal roads, paths and squares is decreed by the municipality and made public. The dedication can also stipulate that traffic areas are only for limited public use (e.g. pedestrian or cyclist traffic).
