You can contact the public health department for questions and information on infectious diseases.

The Public Health Service will provide you with general information on certain infectious diseases. For example, it provides information on how to behave in an emergency, the transmission routes and the risk of infection.

The staff provide information on prevention and advise on hygiene requirements and correct behavior to prevent the spread of infectious diseases such as salmonellosis, hepatitis A, B and C, meningitis, scarlet fever, measles and chickenpox.

In addition to general information on infectious diseases, written information material is also provided and, in certain cases, free tests (e.g. for HIV/AIDS) are offered.

The processing time and intensity of advice varies depending on the topic and individual case. If there is an urgent and rapid need for action from an infection hygiene perspective, processing is given priority.
