People with disabilities can apply for a supplement to their disabled person's pass. This is required for free local transport or for a reduction in vehicle tax.

If you have a two-color disabled person's pass with the G, aG, Bl, H or Gl mark, you can apply for a supplementary sheet with a token. This allows you to use local public transport free of charge.

Severely disabled people who, as a result of their disability, are significantly impaired in their mobility in road traffic, are helpless or deaf, are transported free of charge on local public transport by the transport companies on presentation of an appropriately marked ID card with an orange imprint. A supplementary sheet to the ID card is required for free travel authorization, which must be provided with a valid token.

In the case of the G and Gl marks, a reduction in vehicle tax can be claimed as an alternative to free travel authorization. For this, a supplementary sheet without a token must be applied for instead of the supplementary sheet with a token.

In addition to the free travel entitlement, those with the aG, Bl and H signs are entitled to a vehicle tax exemption, for which no supplementary sheet without a token is required.

Local trains can be used free of charge; a fare surcharge is required for local trains subject to a surcharge.

Hand luggage, a wheelchair (if the nature of the means of transport permits this), other orthopaedic aids, the guide dog and - if the need for a permanent companion is entered in the ID card (mark "B") - the person accompanying the severely disabled person are also transported free of charge.

Severely disabled persons are significantly impaired in their ability to move in road traffic if they are unable to cover distances in local traffic that are normally covered on foot without considerable difficulty or without danger to themselves or others as a result of a restriction in their ability to walk, including as a result of internal ailments, or as a result of seizures or impaired orientation.

Persons with severe disabilities who regularly require assistance when using public transportation due to their disability are entitled to have an accompanying person with them. This does not mean that the severely disabled person is a danger to themselves or others if they are not accompanied.

If your supplement is damaged or you have lost it, you can apply for a replacement.

• valid two-color severely disabled person's ID card including certain characteristic signs
• If applicable, proof of receipt of certain social benefits for exemption from the co-payment of the token.

• You must have an assessed degree of disability of at least 50.
• You must have a valid two-color disabled person's pass.
• You must have been awarded at least one of the following disability symbols: G, aG, Bl, H, Gl.

The supplementary sheet is issued free of charge.

The token can be purchased for half a year or a whole year for a personal contribution. The amount of the personal contribution is currently EUR 53 for half a year and EUR 104 for a full year. You will receive the token without a personal contribution if you have been awarded at least one of the Bl or H marks or if you receive certain social benefits as a severely disabled person.

After you have submitted the application, your documents will be checked for eligibility on a supplementary sheet.

If you meet the requirements, the fee to be paid by you will be determined and a remittance slip will be sent to you.

The supplementary sheet with token will be sent to you after payment.

If you meet the requirements for a supplementary sheet with a token without a personal contribution, the supplementary sheet with token will be sent to you immediately.

• Supplementary sheet with paid token or without token: approx. two weeks after payment
• Supplementary sheet with free token: approx. two weeks

The application must be submitted in good time. If the month in which the application is submitted has already passed, the supplementary sheet with token will only be issued for the following month.
