The Free State of Bavaria provides state guarantees to finance the construction, acquisition and modernization of housing.
As part of the housing subsidy program, the Free State of Bavaria guarantees subsidy programs of the Bayerische Landesbodenkreditanstalt (BayernLabo), from which BayernLabo grants low-interest loans (see "Related topics").
The state guarantee serves as a substitute for the lack of bank collateral, without which the loan could not be granted at the intended conditions.
