General sports funding is a financial grant aimed at associations, clubs and other corporate sponsors. Investments and one-off or ongoing projects are supported, among other things.
With the "Active City Strategy", the Senate of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg has further developed the concrete sports policy direction for the coming years.
The target image of the Active City with active Hamburg residents reflects Hamburg's self-image - a city that increasingly defines itself through sport in all its forms, through movement and activity. Hamburg is a city in which people are enthusiastic about sport and are active in sport, in which sport is present in the cityscape and has a decisive influence on both the attitude to life and the quality of life.
People who are not yet physically active should be encouraged to take up sport and become enthusiastic about it. In addition, sport and the promotion of physical activity are seen as a cross-cutting political task and as serving the health and quality of life of citizens.
Sport should be promoted not only at the top, but also across the board. In order to achieve these goals, the Ministry of the Interior and Sport grants project-related grants for general sports funding on the basis of the funding guidelines and the general ancillary provisions for project funding (ANBest-P) as well as the ancillary provisions for construction (NBest-Bau).
General sports funding is a financial grant aimed at associations and clubs as well as other corporate sponsors.
Funding must contribute to the achievement of the goals of the Active City strategy. A wide variety of projects are supported. These include investments and one-off or ongoing projects.
Grants are only awarded if the applicant provides a portion of the financing from their own resources to cover the costs of the project. Grants are generally awarded as partially financed subsidies for individual, clearly defined projects.
The grant recipient is entitled to pass on the grant funds to third parties if a corresponding (contractual) agreement is concluded.
