The funding program helps you to modernize your building envelope in terms of energy. This way, you can save energy, conserve resources and reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
The responsible body will support you in modernizing your building envelope. Both individual and multiple components are funded.
The funding amount depends on the area being modernized.
If you modernize components from different component groups at the same time, you will also receive a modernization bonus.

The following measures are also supported:
- sustainable insulation materials, for example those with the "Blue Angel" quality mark or the "natureplus seal"
- Quality assurance during construction: This includes support from experts, a hydraulic balancing of the heating system or an air tightness measurement
- detailed construction description of the measure (tender documents or detailed cost estimate separated by trades, materials used)
- Proof or calculation of the thermal transmittance coefficients for the respective structure of the overall construction, for example external wall including plaster, load-bearing construction, insulation and, if applicable, air layers as well as cladding / external plaster; roof construction including rafters and under-/intermediate/on-rafter insulation; window, French door, roof window and external door installation with glazing including sash and frame profiles (according to standard boundary conditions of DIN EN 14351-1) in the tradesman's offer
- if necessary, consulting contract from construction-accompanying experts from the list
- if applicable, proof of the property being registered in the Hamburg monument list or proof that the property is located in the area of a regulation to preserve the composition of the residential population or to preserve the urban character of the area due to its urban design, as well as any resulting specifications or restrictions for the implementation of the measures applied for funding
- if necessary, proof of the location of the object on the parcel boundary (development)
- for internal insulation of external walls and flat roofs as a wooden construction, a declaration of structural safety
- when promoting sustainable insulation materials, a corresponding current, valid certificate from the "Blue Angel" (RAL environmental label) or "natureplus seal"
- for wooden windows and doors: information from the specialist company on the use of wooden products
- if applicable, "de minimis" declaration
