If you receive certain social benefits, you can receive a social discount on HVV season tickets.

If you receive certain social benefits and are registered in Hamburg, you can apply for a social discount on HVV season tickets. This will give you discounted tickets for public transport.

• Valid photo ID
• Application form

• You are registered in Hamburg.
• You are currently receiving one of the social benefits mentioned in Hamburg: citizen's allowance, basic security, benefits under the Asylum Seekers Benefits Act.
• You have a valid photo identification document.

You fill out the application form and sign it. Then, submit the form along with your ID to an HVV service center. There, your identity will be verified on the form. You will then receive your monthly or season ticket. The application form will then be forwarded to the responsible office for random checks.

The application form can be downloaded and is also available for pickup at the following locations:

• Social service centers
• Locations of Jobcenter team.arbeit.hamburg
• HVV service points

The social discount is not available on weekly tickets or the semester ticket. The discount cannot be used pro rata (on a daily basis).

• Social discount for certain benefit recipients.
• Registration address and receipt of social benefits in Hamburg.
• Application to the responsible authority with proof possible.
