If you run a nursing service, are a doctor, or are a midwife, you can apply for a special parking permit. This permit allows you to park in designated areas while you are on duty.

As a nurse, midwife or doctor, you can apply for a special parking permit under certain conditions.
This allows you to park free of charge, for example, in a restricted parking area, in residents' parking zones and in parking management zones (public parking spaces with parking meters or ticket machines).
The special parking permit is primarily valid for the care, treatment, preventive care and aftercare of your patients on site.

Erforderliche Unterlagen

  • a signed informal application with a detailed description of the activity to be carried out
  • a copy (front and back) of the registration certificate Part I (vehicle registration document) of the vehicle for which the approval is to apply
additionally for nursing services:
  • proof of activity (e.g. a copy of the business registration or extract from the commercial register)
  • if available: current proof of membership in a welfare organization (from the current calendar year)
additionally for midwives:
  • proof of professional practice as a midwife (e.g. registration of freelance activity, certificate of permission to use the professional title)
Additionally for general practitioners:
  • proof of the home visits carried out (e.g. confirmation from the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians)

Voraussetzungen

  • You run a nursing service, are a doctor or midwife.
  • You carry out a care activity for which parking the vehicle on site is absolutely necessary.

Kosten

The fees for the special parking permit depend, among other things, on the period of validity:
  • 6 months - 150.00 EUR
  • 12 months - 250.00 EUR
  • 18 months - 350.00 EUR
  • 24 months - 450.00 EUR
  • 30 months - 550.00 EUR
  • 36 months - 650.00 EUR
An additional charge of EUR 0.30 per adhesive seal will be added.
If your care service can be proven to belong to a welfare association, the special parking permit is free of charge in certain cases in accordance with the Ordinance on Freedom from Administrative Fees (Fee-Free Ordinance - GebFreiVO).
If your application is rejected, a fee of 75% will also apply. Subsequent withdrawal of your application is also subject to a fee. In this case, you must pay a fee of 50% of the original fee. This fee is based on the Administrative Costs Act (VwKostG) in conjunction with the Fee Schedule for Measures in Road Traffic (GebOSt). Submitting an application does not confer a legal entitlement to the granting of an exemption.

Verfahrensablauf

  • Alternatively, you can submit your application by post or email, provided that all required documents are available or sent with it.
  • In your application, describe the purpose of the vehicle use and/or the care activity to be performed.
  • The State Transport Authority (LBV) will examine your application.
  • You will receive the special parking permit or the rejection by mail.
  • Display your special parking permit visibly in your vehicle.
  • If you or the LBV have any queries, you can also use the online application process or contact us by phone or email.

Bearbeitungsdauer

The processing time is usually 2 - 6 weeks.

The special parking permit is valid for between 6 and 36 months, depending on the application.

Hinweise

  • During use, other persons must not be endangered or hindered.
  • Your special parking permit is not transferable to other vehicles. If you change your vehicle, you can have the registered license plate changed for a fee during the period of validity.
