As a recipient of housing benefit or child benefit, you can, under certain conditions, receive reimbursement for school or daycare trips. This is possible if you apply for benefits under the Education and Participation Package.
Housing benefit is a government subsidy in Germany that helps low-income households with the cost of their housing.
The child supplement (KiZ) is a supplementary benefit for low-income families who can support themselves but do not have sufficient income to provide for their children. It is paid in addition to child benefit.
If you receive housing benefit or child benefit, you may be eligible for benefits under the education package. This includes covering the costs of all excursions or trips with the school or daycare center.
Pocket money or class fund contributions are not covered.
