If you want to drive your vehicle on roads with weight restrictions or closed roads, you must apply for an exemption permit.
Exceptions can be granted if a blocked or weight-restricted road is to be used regularly or for a certain period of time. Before a permit can be issued, the approval of the locally responsible police station is required, which the LBV will obtain if an exemption is to be applied for for longer than 3 months.
- informal, written application (if necessary on company header sheet) with justification,
- Information on the affected route, the construction site, the weight of the vehicle and the transported goods and the period of use
- Copy of the vehicle registration document
- Order confirmation, if available
The following information is required:
- Justification for the purpose of using the vehicle
- Information on the activities to be carried out
- License number
If necessary, more detailed information on the location is required if an exemption is only requested for certain streets or, for example, a pedestrian zone.
The fee is 110 euros per year (non-binding fee information). The exact calculation is based on the actual effort and is based on the fee schedule for road traffic measures (GebOSt).
The LBV is responsible if the approval is to be valid for longer than 3 months. Otherwise the responsibility lies with the local police station.
The exemption is granted for a maximum of one year.
