If you want to ride a motorcycle on public roads, you need a driving license and must prove this with a driver's license.
If you want to ride a motorcycle, you need a driving license (driver license classes AM, A1, A2 and A).
- With the AM driving license you are allowed to drive two- and three-wheeled mopeds and four-wheeled light motor vehicles.
- With the A1 driving license you are allowed to drive motorcycles with up to 125 cubic centimeters of displacement and up to 11 kW of power.
- With driving license class A2 (also A80) you are allowed to drive motorcycles with up to 35 kW power.
- With a class A driving license you are allowed to drive all motorcycles and three-wheeled vehicles.
