Are you subject to the obligation to provide evidence for hazardous waste and do not want to take part in the electronic verification process? Then you can organize disposal using a collective disposal certificate from a carrier.
The disposal, i.e. the recycling or disposal including the collection and transport of hazardous waste, is subject to a waste law verification procedure. You are obliged to do this as a waste producer as well as the owners, transporters, collectors and disposers of hazardous waste or the waste producer as well as the owner, transporter, collector and disposer of hazardous waste.
You are exempt as a private household and small-quantity producer who does not produce more than two tonnes of hazardous waste per year.
Are you subject to the obligation to provide proof of hazardous waste and your source produces less than 20 t of waste per year and type of waste? You can then organize the disposal using a collective certificate from a transporter and, as a producer, you do not need to take part in the electronic documentation process yourself. In this case, the electronic procedure is then carried out by the carrier, who has already had the collective disposal certificate approved.

For the producer
- If your company generates more than 2 tonnes of hazardous waste, a producer number must already be available (for entry in the acceptance certificate)
- Access to the electronic verification process through a mailbox directly at the ZKS or via a provider.
- For the necessary electronic signature of the verification documents, you need an electronic signature card. You can get this signature card from various providers.
- The collector or carrier prepares the responsible declaration
- The waste disposal company supplements the declaration of proof with his or her declaration of acceptance (AE)
- Submission of electronic evidence to the waste disposal authority
- Confirmation of receipt with subsequent request from the disposal authority in the case of incomplete or incorrect documents or confirmation from the disposal authority in the case of complete and correct documents.
- The collector keeps the accompanying notes (electronically) for each collection tour
- Handover of the takeover note to the producer (paper; later electronic recording by collector).
The evidence must be valid at the time of disposal.
If the documentation is complete and correct, the authority has 30 days until official confirmation; receipt must be confirmed within 12 calendar days.
Evidence can be confirmed for a maximum of five years.
The deadline for the waste disposal company to send the electronic accompanying notes is 10 calendar days.
