You don't have your birth certificate and you need it for a marriage or another official act? Then you can request a printout from the birth register.

Volltext

You can request a certified copy of the birth register.
The printout contains all the information recorded about your birth – for example, your name, date of birth, time of birth and information about your parents.
Later changes, such as adoption, recognition of paternity or a name change, are also noted.

You can also request a multilingual printout of the civil status register if you need the printout for international purposes, for example.

The printout comes from the electronic register. It is legally valid, just like a birth certificate. You can use it with authorities, for example.

Since November 1, 2022, the exact time of birth (hour and minute) will also be included in every new birth certificate.
