If you would like to use the professional title "Medical-technical radiology assistant" or "Medical-technical radiology assistant", you need a permit.

In order to work as a medical-technical radiology assistant in Germany, you need a state permit. With this permit, you are allowed to use the professional title and work in the profession. You must apply for the permit.

• Medical certificate not older than 3 months (available online)
• Official certificate of good conduct, not older than 3 months

• After completing your training, you have passed the state examination as a medical-technical radiology assistant.
• You have not been guilty of any conduct that would render you unreliable to perform your profession.
• You are medically fit to perform the profession.
• You have the knowledge of the German language required to carry out your professional activities.

• You submit your application together with the necessary documents to the responsible authority.
• The responsible authority will check your application for completeness and, if necessary, request any missing documents or information from you.
• The responsible authority will check whether you meet all the requirements.
• If you meet all the requirements, you will receive permission.
• You may not begin the activity until you have received permission.

• Anyone who wants to work as a medical-technical radiology assistant in Germany needs a permit
• With the permit you are allowed to work in the profession and use the professional title.
• Permission must be applied for.
