If you want to use the professional title "pharmaceutical technical assistant" or "pharmaceutical technical assistant", you need a permit.
In order to work as a pharmaceutical technical assistant in Germany, you must apply for a state permit. This permit allows you to use the professional title and work in the profession.
- Proof of state examination certificate, if already issued
- Proof of identity (certified copy of valid ID/passport/residence permit)
- Official certificate of good conduct of the document type OE for submission to authorities, not older than 3 months when issuing a permit
- current medical certificate confirming physical and psychological suitability to practice the profession, not older than 3 months when permit is issued
- if applicable, model declaration of criminal proceedings
- Confirmation of having the knowledge of the German language required to carry out the professional activity (certificate of acquisition of language skills at least level B2)
- if available: copies of the most recent employment references
- After completing your training, you passed the state examination as a pharmaceutical technical assistant.
- You have not been guilty of any conduct that would render you unreliable to perform your profession.
- You are medically fit to perform the profession.
- You have the knowledge of the German language required to carry out your professional activities.
- You submit your application together with the necessary documents to the responsible authority.
- The responsible authority will check your application for completeness and, if necessary, request any missing documents or information from you.
- The responsible authority will check whether you meet all the requirements.
- If you meet all the requirements, you will receive permission.
- You may not begin the activity until you have received permission.
You can raise an objection to a negative decision within one month of notification at the office specified in the letterhead.
