The care allowance for war victims supports you financially if you need care due to the consequences of war.
Please note: The following information is based on the provisions of the Federal Social Security Act, which has since expired. Similar benefits are now provided under Book XIV of the Social Code (SGB XIV). We will be able to provide you with more detailed information on this shortly. Until then, please contact the office listed at the bottom of this page with any related concerns.
The amount of the care allowance depends on the extent of the care required due to the disability. It is divided into six levels:

- Level I: 360.00 euros
- Level II: 615.00 euros
- Level III: 877.00 euros
- Level IV: 1,125.00 euros
- Level V: 1,460.00 euros
- Level VI: 1,797.00 euros

Disabled people are helpless if they need permanent outside help for a series of frequently and regularly recurring tasks to secure their personal existence during the course of each day.
These requirements are also met if:
- assistance is required in the form of supervision or guidance; or
- the help does not have to be provided continuously, but a constant willingness to provide help is required.
- in the case of blindness and severe visual impairment,
- Paraplegia and other disabilities that require the use of a wheelchair in the long term and constantly - also within the living space,
- in the case of brain damage, seizure disorders, mental disabilities and psychoses if these disabilities alone cause a GdS of 100,
- Loss of two or more limbs, excluding bilateral lower leg or foot amputation.
You can apply for the care allowance at the pension office.

Objections to this decision can be raised within one month of notification at the office specified in the letterhead.
